So I have been on the flooring kick lately and I don't think I posted any comparison photos. Here is the first one:
This is the division between the living room and the dining room. The living room is finished. It is the perfect shot to give you the before and after idea. Here are two more with the close up of each side:
This with the tung oil and resin...
This was what the floors looked like before.

Wonderful transformation! Wood floors are great - they're a little treasure chest of value just waiting to be opened in older homes.
Wow !!! I can't believe the difference. all that hard work is really paying off. Your open house will be showcase!!!!
So you used tung oil to refinish those pine floors? We are putting in 100 year old heart pine floors, and I've been thinking of how to refinish them... I love how yours look!
Jennifer,
yes! It is actually a product called Waterlox. It is a tung oil infused with resin. All VOC compliant too. If I were you, I would not put polyurethane on the pine. Poly is great for hardwood floors, but pine needs to breath. That is why the before shots of my floor are so atrocious. The poly covering cracked off as the pine was moving. I read tons about this before setting out and it totally paid off. Let me know if you have any questions and I will do my best!
